Customer has vm only unity. They want to forward vm to their email account.
My question is:
Call comes using G711 and I use codec g729 to store the voicemail, when exchange forward the vm to users email account, the attachment will be G729 or actually G711 before convert?

Exchange won't convert the attachment, it will be G.729 so you will need to get an appropriate (licensed) codec installed on the client machine for playback.

The message will never get converted to g.711. The client machine will need the g.729 codec to be able to play it back.
It also sounds like they might being using UM when they are only licensed for voice mail only. Make sure they aren't using the email mailbox for their voice mail messages if they haven't paid for UM. If they havent the messages need to go in to separate mailboxes.
Thanks,
Keith
