We have six Unity 4.0(3) UM with Unity networking on Windows 2k SP4, SQL 2K SP3, TSP 7.0(3b).
Our security team recommends removing Sample Databases "northwind" and "pubs".
If we remove the databases, will this harm the Unity Application?
We have reviewed: http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_white_paper09186a00801c129d.shtml
Thank you in advance for your reply.

I don't think there will be an issue but it isn't something that we have tested so we would not support it. I know you can't remove the 'master' DB for sure cause setup makes a connection to it.
You probably would want to test this in a lab first before doing it in production. I can't think or a reason it would be a probably but again we just haven't tested it.
Thanks,
Keith

We have removed the DBs in the lab. We can not see any event viewer indication that there is a problem.
Should a PERS request be filed to have the BU put the removal of the DBs through regression testing?
Thank you for your assistance in this issue.
Sincerely,
Kyle
