Queries about Cisco Unity Express

Hi

I have a CME & CUE 8.x . site is recently installed . i noticed that users in Unity Express have not showing with the phone (Mac address )

> is it OK to not add the Mac address ... will VM work for the users .

> I also tried to add the phone but it says " I Thinki it is not properly communicating with the CME .  

No unassociated phones found on the call agent.

Please suggest ..

Have you already reviewed the CME and CUE configuration guide available on CCO??

Pretty easy to find.

CUE does not require MACs, that's CME.
