FAQ for Unity and SIP Integration

1. Is it ok to integrate Unity to a SIP Server which is not a Cisco SIP Server?

2. Is this Scenario is supported by Cisco?

3. Is there any compatibility issue that we will face if we are going to integrate Cisco Unity to a Non Cisco Sip Server?

1) The only qualified and supported proxy server is the Cisco proxy server.

2) No.

3) You may face compatibility issues, depending on what you want to do. For instance, Unity uses an unsolicited Notify request for MWI.
