SSH2/Telnet in CUCM 8.6

Ho Experts,

Can I configure SSH2 or telnet inside CUCM 8.6, and also is there any configuration like in routers (enable password *******)?

once your CM is up and you can web to it you can ssh to the CM ip address(not sure about telnet we block it here)

Yes there will be a password set , sometimes the same as the one for call manager itself but best practice is its usually set different

Hi,

during installation of CUCM you will be asked for two usernames and passwords. The first username is used as platform administrator. The platform administrator is allowed to log in via CLI, OS-Administration and DRF (disaster recovery system).

The second one is the application administrator. That account is allowed to log into CM Administration, Unified Reporting and Serviceability.

Both usernames can be the same. But since they are independent they both have the own password.
