We have three unity servers in digital network. Normally I can dial in to a servers pilot and enter ext # for another server and it works ok. But some times it doesnt work. And when I look in application Evt log it gives an error handoff to unity2 was unsuccessful then either it says target server didnt respond or target server sent invalid response code 474.
Is this related to CPU issues? All three servers are connected to same switch with 100/full hardcode on server and switch.
We are running 4.0.4 Sr1 with couple of ESs
Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
Are the servers configured to do release to switch transfers (this is the default method)? Or are they configured to do cross-server transfers (as described in http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/whitpapr/crossbox.htm)? What switch are the Unity servers connected to?
Thanks,
Nancy

Am I reading the "Prerequisites: Enabling Cross-Server Transfer" right ?? All these server are dual integrated to Nortel 81 using Dialogic cards on one side and Cisco CallManager 3.3.4Sr1 on other side. Is there a some thing we can do
Right now we are pasing the control to subscribers unity Server.

Hi,
To quote the white paper:
"The cross-server features are supported only in pure Cisco CallManager environments in which calls are not transferred through voice gateways or circuit-switched phone systems. Dual integrations are not supported."
There's no workaround. You'll need to do release to switch transfers.
