Unable to remove "Use MWI for Message Notification"

I am using 4.04 SR1 on a dual (SMDI/IP) integrated system with external Exchange 2K server. I am unable to save changes to the check box for "Use MWI for Message Notification" field for any users.

Any suggestions as to why this field may not saving changes?

This is a known defect that is fixed in Unity 4.0(5). The defect ID is CSCee46014. To workaround this problem, you need to first delete all existing MWI extensions for the user, only then can you uncheck "Use MWI for message notification" and have the change stick in order to disable MWI for that user.
