We are going to migrate unity 3.1x to unity 4.x. We want to set a lab first to test the migration process to make sure everything is OK. My question is how I can get a USB dongle for the lab?I don't think cisco will sell this anymore? right? I happen to know cisco licensing team can loan one dongle if needed? any thoughts?
Thanks

You don't need a dongle to test the migration. Unity 3.1(X) will run in demo mode and 4.0(X) has a demo license file.

Thanks. Here is the step I want to take:
1.Install unity 3.13 demo in the lab
2. Use dirt to restore the production 3.13 to the demo
3. upgrade it to demo 4.x
4. Use dirt to back it up
5. instal a new unity 4.x with full license and restore the data from demo 4.x to it.
Do u see any problem here?
thanks

That should be fine. Just make sure to remove the existing Unity server from the production network before running the DiRT restore to the new server.
Thanks,
Keith

you mena using the unity uninstall to uninsatll the unity to remove the attributes from the exchange account? What about if those mailboxes are migrated from e55 to 22k? right now I have nT and e55, we'll migrate them to w2k and e2k. do we still have to consider this? thanks

No, you don't need to worry about that.
