Hello,

I have a Unity 4.0.3 UMS Installation. Now I have the problem that a User you have administrative rights in Active Directory get the error message:

Error hr_0x80070005: Failed to communicate changes.

This error do not apply by normal users.

The other thing is that if I delete a user not all the attributes in AD are deleted. I have to manually delete them. After that I can create it new.

thanks Achim

Can you tell us what you were trying to do when you get the error? The user may be a domain admin but that does not mean that Unity admin rights are assigned automatically. They have to have Administrator Class Of Service (COS).

As for the actual error, do you mean

" Error hr=0x80070005: Failed to commit changes "

If yes, check the account that is being used to start AvDsAd services. The installation doc reads to use UnityDirSvc account, and to run Permission Wizard against the Unity service accounts so that rights can be assigned.

On your second problem, I am not clear about "the attributes in AD are not deleted". What attributes do you want deleted? Are you saying that if you delete a subscriber from Unity, you cannot reimport? Is this Exchange 5.5?

Hi,

I get the error when I try to import a user with administrative privilliges in Active Directory.

The second problem is what you mean, after I deleted a user with administrative privilliges in Active Directory in Unity I´m not able to reimport him. First I have to delete the attributes in AD, after that I can reimport him.
