I have a Unity 4.03 VM server that we were going to run failover on. At the time we didn't realize that the message store needed to be off-box. We went thru the failoverconfig.exe file but never could get failover to work for obvious reasons. To keep the server running we disabled the avcsnodemgr service which allowed the voice ports to register with CallManager. However, now anytime the server reboots it thinks failover is still active and will not allow the voice ports to register with CallManager. The only way I can fix it is to start the avcsnodemgr service, run the failoverconfig.exe file and get to the point that the system is ready to copy files to the backup server (which does not exist) and cancel the install. At that point the voice ports will go active and I can stop the avcsnodemgr service. I would like to rebuild the box to solve this problem, but if there is a way to stop this scenario from happening every time there is a reboot I would prefer this solution. Any ideas?
Thanks!!!

If a clean (no trace of Unity) box is what you are after then this tool may do the trick

I think this is what you want correct? Hope this helps.

This server is still their primary VM server. What I need to do is remove all traces of the failover config and have the box work correctly and the VM ports register with CCM on a reboot.
Thanks!!!
