Hi..
I need migrate the Cisco Unity 4.X to 5.X (the Unity 5.X is a new server).
I backup the server 4.X whit a DiRT but when I try to restore the information in a 5.X the process down because is no compatible version.
How to can used the backup files to install in Unity 5.0

DiRT is not a upgrade tool, you could install 4.x on the new server and then upgrade because you have to restore with the exact same version that you backed up with.

A lot of people are using COBRAS to upgrade with. It is not TAC supported yet though.

I would install 5.0 on the new server and use GSM to move the subscribers.

Which ever tool you use read all the help files and watch the videos.

there are 3 ways I stated in my first post.
DiRT, COBRAS, and GSM
those are your only choices unless you want to do a fresh install.
