Hi all,
I'm having problems running the ADSchema update with Unity 4.0 and Exchange 2003
When running it, an error occurs:
"Setup failed to query the "AllowedChildClassesEffective" attribute" I've made sure that this is the Schema Master, I dont have any Anti-Virus running...
Any ideas?

are all the domain controllers online?
try running the ADSCHEMASETUP directly on the exchange box
In general you need to verify these things first:
- add the account logged into the server as part of the enterprise
admins and schema
admins groups
- change the schema master to the correct domain controller (check with the schema management plugin in mmc which DC currently has the role)
- change the registry key to allow schema updates:

The problem was the registry key, that wasn't updated

Another thing in addition to the other post here...
Make sure you are running the ADSchemaSetup.exe directly on the Schema Master server and not from a mapped drive. I see you say this is the Schema Master you are running this on but make sure you either copy the whole DVD/CD over to a directory on the server or just copy the SchemaUpdate folder from the DVD/CD over to it and run it directly there. That, or have the DVD/CD that has the ADSchemaSetup in the Schema Master drive and run it from there.
