Hi everyone i nedd some assistance am doing an export from unity 4.0.5 to migrate to unity conn when doing the export with no vm messages and i use data viewer to look at the mdb i have been able to import everything ok except the call handlers the call handlers when i view them all show no message recipient no sure what this problem is as i am able to import them and they look similar to how they are configured in unity, the recording is there we have a total of 500 call handlers just wondering if anyone could shed so light on this problem. I have attached the log file i dont see any way i can test them until we cutover in a couple of weeks.

I just wnt to determine is this a problem or is it just the way the old unity was set up im thinking cobras is looking in specific directories for the information any comments will be appreciated ????????

Thankyou

Hi George,

You may find that the original Message Recipient (usually the Example Administrator) had been deleted at some stage in the past, and that no one ever noticed because your own Call Handlers aren't ever set to take a message...

To confirm, please go to one of the affected Call Handlers on the old Unity server, and check under Messages.   It should have a "Message recipient".   If not, or if you aren't importing the old Example Administrator (if this is the recipient), then it'll be why you're getting the errors.

You could use Bulk Edit to assign a different Message recipient to the old Call Handlers, prior to the COBRAS Export or, if the Call Handlers don't actually have a Message recipient, you could just run dbWalker (recommended before any backups or exports) and check the option to set broken "Owner" and "Recipient" links.

Kind regards,

Craig
