Unity Connection 8.5(1)SU1 DirSync actiivated/STARTED but LDAP Directory Configuration error

I can’t setup a LDAP Directory Configuration. Keep getting a error “You must first activate the Cisco DirSync service under Cisco Unified Serviceability.” But the service is already activated/started.

ssh > utils service list shows Cisco DirSync[STARTED]

CUAdmin > System >LDAP >  LDAP Setup > Checked Enable Synchronizing from LDAP Server

CUAdmin > System >LDAP >  LDAP Directory Configuration > Add New > hit save and I get “You must first activate the Cisco DirSync service under Cisco Unified Serviceability.”

It’s already activated and running.Tried deactiving/restarting no luck. Did a utils system restart.

After the install I did go into System > Cluster and put a wrong hostname, I removed it, but that shouldn’t effect DirSync?

I worked with Cisco TAC SR618054415, dirsync traces attached, application syslog, TAC needed some time to ideas. Nothing we tried fixed it.

Any ideas?

Jason , is this one of those CUC installations were you had a 8.5 disc, the upon installation, sent the SU1 patch to it?  If you did, its probably broken and you need to reinstall.  

Install with 8.5 loaded and working

Then use SU1 update.
