Hello Pros,
I have 2 questions regarding Unity Connection call routing.
1) Calling the call handler extension, hear the greeting stating "You may dial an extension at anytime". When we dial the 11 digits extension (1324-345-6789), it goes directely to the voicemail without ringing the phone. I would like to make the phone ring 4 times before hitting the voicemail.
2) Our extensions are 11 degits but I would like the users to be able to ring the phones even if they dial 10 digits (324-345-6789) without the prefix 1. Also we have some 12 digits Non-DIDs which are configured as extensions in Unity but we receive the same message with 10 digits dialing stating" You can not be transfered to the extension, the line is busy"
Your help is very mush appreciated,
Thanks,
MK

1. You would need to change the call transfer settings of that subscriber to ring the phone, and not send directly to the greeting, this setting is PER user.
2. Check this option and adjust your routing tables to allow the numbers you want:
Allow Transfers to Numbers Not Associated with Users or Call Handlers

Hi Jaime,
What you mean by Call transfer setting ot the Unity Subscriber? Is it the subscriber server? If so, where is that setting?
Thanks,
MK

Under each user.

What about the restriction tables?

I sent you the restriction table for you to review why we are not able to dial the Non-DIDs from within the Call Hanlder greeting.
Regarding the ringing issue, is the user configuration right? What else do I need to look at to make the extension ring before going to VM.
Thanks,
MK

The voicemail port CSS (for sccp integration) or redirecting CSS (SIP integration) should have the partition of the DN.
Apart from this, like Jamie said, look at restriction tables. The default system transfer restriction table should allow the number.

Thanks Anirukh,
The issue with 10 digits dialing has been fixed by prepending a 1 in the Call Handler Caller Input. The only issue I have is that when we enter an extension from within the Call Handler greeting, the call goes directely to the voice mail. I need the phone rings 4 times before going to the voice mail. The transfer rule of the user is attached above.
Thanks,
MK

Hi,
I was able to fix the issue by assigning the proper CSS to the "Rerouting Calling Search Space" under SIP information in SIP Trunk going to CUC.
Thanks,
MK

Hi Folks,
We are still experiencing an issue with the above Call Hanlder. We are able to dial an extension from within the Call Handler, the phone rings but instead of going to the voicemail of the dialed extension, it plays the Call Handler greeting again and asks to dial an extension. Is this a configuration mistake? If so, where am I making the mistake?
Thanks,
MK

Quick update for those experiencing this same issue. I was able to fix the problem and here's the detail:
On the call manager the outbound delivery check box was not checked. Checked that and reset the trunk. Now, users are hearing the prompt to spell the first and the last name. The admin has created a FWD. Routing rule on the unity connection with no condition set which was matching all calls and sending the calls to the call handler. Made the rule inactive and now the users are haring the correct prompt.
Thanks,
MK
