Unity Connection Clustering across WAN

Hi all,

I am looking into deploying a Unity Connection cluster with the Publisher in Ca and the Subscriber in Tx. The Ca location and the Tx location are connected over a full 45MB DS3 connection and the round-trip latency is about under 40ms. There will be 48 voice mail ports total on each server.

I am trying to find out the minimum bandwidth requirement for replication and intra-cluster communication traffic between the Pub and Sub.

Has anyone deploy anything like this for Unity Connection ? Is this a supported deployment ? I appreciate any inputs / suggestions !!!! Thanks in advance !!!

D.

When Unity Connectio

n cluster servers are deployed in separate buildings, the following requirements/best practices apply:

  • Bandwidth
    • 50 Mbps for 48 voice messaging ports on each server
    • 100 Mbps for 86 voice messaging ports on each server
    • 150 Mbps for 144 voice messaging ports on each server
  • Latency of 20ms or less RTT
