Unity Exchange Shutdown

I have a Unity 4.0(4) VM server that has been connected (when it was installed) to an Exchange 2003 server. Everything has been running fine, and we added 2 other Exchange servers (2003 as well) and ran the permissions wizard and it picked them up and users on them as well. But, the first Exchange server is slated to be decommissioned, and I wondered if there was anything that I needed to do in this instance; it appears that everything looks fine from the other Exchange servers, but did not know what kind of impact (if any) this would cause to the Unity server

Hi there. I have a couple of documents that should help you in this task. You can safely decommission the server, however you will need to re-partner Unity with a new Exchange server and move the Unity system mailbox first.

This document will help you to partner Unity with a new Exchange server:

I'm not completely sure if this will inherently move the system mailbox, but if it does not, the instructions can be found here:
