Unity Schedule Granularity

Is there a way of getting schedules in Unity to be more granular as I want a schedule to be open from 8:45am to 5pm or are we limited to half hour chunks.

You didn't indicate your Unity version - but for 4.0(1) and later you can use the Audio Text Manager tool to get 15 minute chunks in your system schedules. Here's the link for the 4.0(3) or later version of ATM:

Under the File menu you'll find "View Schedules" and you can edit them there. After you create/edit schedules as you like, be sure not to make/save changes to these schedules in the SA since it'll force it back to 30 minute boundaries.

Where do I install the new version? I guess do I just over write the old one or point it to the default directory?

You can install it wherever you like - over the existing version is fine. The Tools Depot (and other links of course) will automatically point to the updated version regardless of the install location.
