We are running Unity 4.0.3 sr1 on win2k on 2 mcs 7800's, One being the primary and the other being the failover. The failover on reboot will not allow certain services (sql server and agent to start), UNLESS we put our DNS ips in the wins server on the failover server, this is not neccessary on the primary. Has anyone expierenced this and/or is this the way that the failover server should be set up?

Windows need to be able to communicate with the domain controllers, and it gets its SRV-records from the Active Directory Integrated DNS servers.
Do you have any errors in the system event logs, perhaps pertaining to Netlogon or DNSApi?

As of yesterday the services that would not start are as follows,
AVCSNodemngr
AVDSAD
AVdsglobalcatalog
AVfaensvr
AVgateway
AVcsmanager
The sql server and Agent are starting.
