Basic scenario: I have a client that has a CM cluster. A different agency has the Unity server that they are going to use for VM (i.e. dual integration). Both CM's are 3.3.x. Unity is 3.1 build 3.1(5)
Couple of questions. First question:
The Unity box has 24 ports and all are dedicated to the existing CM cluster. I have to reclaim some of those for the new cluster. Obviously I will take some of the ports out of the TSP config for one CM cluster and configure another server in the tsp driver config with those ports. Is there any gotchas here? Will I need to reboot? If so, can I do the reboot later (i.e. config during the day then reboot at midnight)?
Second question:
When I rdp to the unity box and try to run Tools Depot, I get the following msg box:
---------------------------------------------
prjToolsDepot
Run-time error '-2147024894 (80070002)':
Method '~' of object '~' failed
---------------------------------------------
Any idea what the deal is with that?
Thanks,
Loy

Do you get that same error when you run Tools Depot on the box? Or only remotely?
We test all our tools (including Tools Depot) via WTS and if they can't run remotely (i.e. they need to interact with a WAV driver such as the volumne and speed controls) they are marked as such on the download page and will throw up an error dialog if they detect they are being run in a WTS session.

I'm having the unity admin try it. May take him a while to get that done, but when I get it, I'll let you know.
Any notes on adding a new CM integration to an existing CM integration where all ports are being used?

http://www.ciscounitytools.com/App_ToolsDepot.htm
After upgrading to Windows 2000 SP4, some sites ran into problems opening the tools depot on Unity 3.1(3) through 3.1(5) systems. A defect record was opened up for this which can be found here:
http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCec11801&Submit=Search
The files available here will fix the above noted problem. To apply the patch:
1) Close the Tools Depot if you have it running.
2) Backup your existing Tools Depot directory:
3) Extract the files in this patch to your Tools Depot directory:
4) Run Tools Depot.

Alright, I've just sent that to him and will see how that works. Thanks for the info.
