if voicemail is listened to from pc does mwi light go out

is the message considered saved from phone point of view

what are the gotchas?

Once a message is played in Outlook it is no longer a new message and is considered "saved" in the TUI interface.

The MWI should go out providing the Unity has permissions on the message store that the messages are in, and you have MWI configured for the user in Unity

when you listen to the message from your pc the message will be marked as read in the inbox. Yes the light will go off. If you leave the messsage in the inbox and mark is as unread the light will go back on.

Unity uses the avnotifier service to monitor the exchange mailstore and sends mwi codes when changes are made to the inbox.
