I've recently upgraded our isolated CUP server from 8.0.x to 8.5.2.
I've enabled the "Enable use of Email Address when Federating" option and rebooted.
After ther reboot, I am able to send messages to external XMPP destinations successfully, but I do not see presence information (online/offline) and incoming messages are not delivered.
I receive the following log message:
15:09:38.425 |XMPPSinTranscoder{95CA66BEB}: [IN PACKET] <presence from='myname@remote.com' to='myname@localdomain.com' type='subscribed'/>
15:09:38.425 |XMPPSinTranscoder{95CA66BEB}: Got a stanza for a host which is not local (localdomain.com) from myname@remote.com. Disconnecting connection.
The internal domain is localdomain.local, not localdomain.com.
Logs show that outbound messages are tagged properly with @localdomain.com, but it doesn't seem to know what to do with them when they return.
Suggestions?
