Hello,

I am facing a very strange problem with the new Cisco CUCILync plugin (version 8.5.2) for Mircosoft Office communciator 2007 R2.

The installation completes successful, but as soon as I want to launch the plugin, it fails.

In the Windows Event viewer I receive the following error:

Faulting application name: cucimoc.exe, version: 8.5.157.18461, time stamp: 0x4d8a0500
Faulting module name: ntdll.dll, version: 6.1.7601.17514, time stamp: 0x4ce7ba58
Exception code: 0xc0000374
Fault offset: 0x000ce653
Faulting process id: 0x80c
Faulting application start time: 0x01cbf3be55258af1
Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Cisco Systems\Cisco UC Integration TM for Microsoft Lync\cucimoc.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\SysWOW64\ntdll.dll
Report Id: 93008af1-5fb1-11e0-bb32-68b599fcf28f

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise Edition 64bit with Service Pack1 installed. Also all the latest Windows patches are applied. Even a fresh reinstallation of the Windows7 with only the hardware drivers did not solve the problem. The prior version of the Cisco CUCIMOC (Version 8.0.3) worked perfect on my HP laptop. Even with the version 8.5.1 of the CUCILync plugin I receive the same error.

This morning I've tested the CuciLync plugin (version 8.5.2) on a complete other computer (also Windows 7 64bit) and I receive the same error message:-( As last information, i installed the Cucilync plugin on a Windows Xp Sp3 machine and the everything worked perfectly.

Can anybody help me with this use, please

thanks a lot in advanced for your help

Marc Hoffmann

Hi,

Yes, I am coordinating with Cisco and it came out that if I uninstall the TMG client, CUCiLync works fine. I also have a TAC request and I hope to obtain a fix soon.

Thanks.

Hi,

I think we have the same problem here. Same stuff shows up on the event log. It ends here on the event log:

2011-05-29 16:04:00,799 WARN  [ 1] [Cisco.Uc.Clients.Common.WpfUtilities.Utilities.RegistryUtils.RegistryHelper] [Class.Method(0)] - Registry Value [InstallationDirectory] was not found under the subkey [[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Communicator\]], returning null.

To compare, on my PC (Windows XP) it starts fine and the log looks like:

We are trying to install on Windows 7 (32 bit).
Any resolution?
Thanks.

Hello,

Sorry but we are still facing our problem with the Cisco CUCILync version 8.5.2. We have a call open at the Cisco TAC.

But one question, do you use the Microsoft TMG firewall client on your computers?

Best regards,

Marc Hoffmann

Hello,  Yesterday I've got a message from Cisco TAC which tells me that the new version 8.5.3 of the Cisco CUCILync Plugin is available.  So I downloaded this version, installed it on my Laptop (with the Microsoft TMG client installed on it) and it worked fine. Finally:-)  2 other colleagues from our IT department confirmed this status also.  Best regards,  Marc Hoffmann
