UNITY CONNECTION 8.6.1 VOICEMAIL SEND PROBLEMS

We have a UCMBE 8.6.x 5000 licensed for 250 users including Unity Connection 8.6.1, have LDAP integration and assigned users with corresponing phones and VM profile.

Within Unityconnection importing users from CMBE (LDAP SYNC) can create all users, but when try to send voice mail messages only some of the users can send and receive voice mails.

I send a voice mail to a distribution list: allvoicemailusers voice message is sent to all users.

The user template is the same, MWI is working fine and no Calling Search Space trouble. All VM Ports are working fine.

The only "error"  under unity connections tools, task management, Monitor Bad mail folders that messages that were not sent are classified as NDR for undelivered messages.

If we try to send a voice mail from the extension that is not receiving voice mails, to perhaps any extension that receive vm or a allvoicemailusers, message apparently is sent under conversation but vm never arrives!

Hi,

You'll want to set some of the macro message delivery traces and pull Conversation Manager and Message Transfer Agent components from RTMT and see why certain users may not be receiving voice messages.  MTA would be the first place to look once collected.

Hope that helps,

Brad

Hi

Under URTMT, activated macro for MTA with this result:

Within MTA traces found this situations

A Valid User from Call Manager BE and configured with Voice Mail that cannot send/receive VM messages is

UserID: maespino

maespino@conabio.gob.mx

Within Unity Connection VM user “maespino” Alias indicates is Integrated with Communications Manager User (above), also smtp address look well

maespino@conabio.gob.mx

As the MTA error indicates a missing “<” in string and also username does not have the “m” for the alias/email

Have revised at Unity Connection UserID, Alias, Email, ReSync´d with CMBE but all seems to be fine, the only issue I find is that accent vocals or "ñ" look into bulk export like this "ñ".

Update

Found that if LDAP imported users come with accents, (á é í ó ú, ñ, ü) then this cause this kind of issues on MTA.

We tried users eliminating acccents and worked fine.

UnityConnection is not aware of this kind of characters ?

Hi,

UC 8.5ES55 and above has the fix for this defect.
