o you think that moving to the higher version of installed firmware will help?

Hello John,

 

As this is a rack unit integrated with UCSM, sometimes there are correctable ECC errors on the controller, which can make the controller unresponsive and can show inoperability.

 

So there is a defect that has been raised for the same: https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvj45153/?rfs=iqvred

 

Conditions for the defect are : 


UCS C-Series C240M4, both integrated and stand-alone.

Colussa M3 servers only(both 1G & 4G TMM parts which use Broadcom Invador ASIC).

Confirmed on LSI cards running ucs-c-lsi-mr-3108.24.12.1-0203.bin are impacted.

 

And fix states upgrade of LSI version.

 

I would recommend logging a case so that we can verify the logs of the server to see if this bug is hitting, or there is something else we need to look for.
