Good afternoon, forum. Does anyone know if it's possible to throttle the fans down on the subject server? I have one in my office and it's fairly loud.

Many thanks!

Later C series servers like the C220M4 have performance/cooling profiles, that can help adjust fan speeds.

For the C210 series, I don't believe you can directly modify fan speeds.

I would make sure you have up to date firmware, such as the 1.43(z) you referenced in another post, in order to avoid CIMC memory leak that can occur in earlier firmware versions.

If the CIMC is hitting the memleak condition, the fans can run at the max speeds.

Thanks,

Kirk...

Thanks Kirk. That's cool. I guess I'll just have to deal with it.

And yes, with your help, I was finally able to get the 1.4.3z firmware installed.
