CIMC hangs in Internet Explorer 11

Good evening, everyone. When I attempt to log into the CIMC on my C210 M2 using Internet Explorer 11 in Windows 10, the main page never loads. My credentials are accepted, but after that, the only thing I see is a status bar that spins indefinitely.

I found the following article, which explains exactly how to fix the issue, albeit in Firefox, not Internet Explorer.

https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/servers-unified-computing/integrated-management-controller/212642-troubleshoot-cimc-gui-which-hangs-while.html

Any ideas?

Greetings.

In internet explorer options, Make sure you disable 'protected mode', add the cimc IP address to 'trusted sites', and drop the security to 'low'.

I got the same symptoms you have when running IE 11, on Windows 10, when hitting a C200M2, 1.43x firmware, until I did the previously mentioned steps.

Thanks,

Kirk...

Might have something to do with the CIMC firmware.

Good evening, Kirk. Thank you for replying.

Last night, before posting here, adding the CIMC address to trusted sites didn't work, so I removed it. For whatever reason, when I re-added it tonight, it works!

It's worth noting that protected mode is disabled by default for trusted sites, so I didn't have to do anything with that. It's also worth noting that I didn't have to set the security level to medium-low or even low. The default level of medium seems to allow everything to function properly.

Weird, but hey, it's working now.

Many thanks!
