Hi all:
A final customer is asking for help with their UCS C-240M3S.
We are using a windows 10 (64bit) laptop with
- 32 bits palemoon
-32 bits java 1.6_
-32 bits java 1.7u80 (jre).
The GUI logon on CIMC works fine (yeap that flash thing works!) but every time that launch the KVM console got errors.
As far I know, the .jar files aren't working fine; because the are trying to download things that already don't longer exist.
The system is running vmware vsphere 6.x
So my questions are:
-1 serial over lan can't be used to access the console ? I guess that maybe but will be useless to setup BIOS, run diags over the VD?
-2 I know that cisco won't rewrite the entire CIMC GUI on html5 but the latest firmware https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/release/notes/b_UCS_C-Series_Release_Notes_3_0_4.html uses java for the KVM or HTML5 (just the console KVM).
-3 why the release notes are dated 2019 but the firmware 2021 ??
