I am trying to create a storage profile for C240 M5 rack mount server, so that i add only first two disks for RAID1 out of 8 disks. When i attach the storage profile to service profile and it throws below config errors.
- One or more boot device(s) in policy is not supported for the specified server platform
- Incomplete LUN configuration.
In template profile, under storage, local disk config policy is global default and storage profile is the one i created. Not sure what i am missing here.

Thanks Kirk for your suggestions.
Finally managed to get storage profile deployed. I had to make sure to add a value under LUN Size. I was under the impression that "unspecified" means it will take the whole disk space available. What i learned is , if we just add 1 GB with "Expand to Available" enabled, it will take the whole disk space in the disk group. If we want to create tow luns C drive and D drive, we need to control it using the option "Expand to Available". In my case, i set C drive 160 GB (which i want c drive to be) and disable "Expand to Available". And enter D rive size as 1 GB with "Expand to Available" enabled. So final disk configuration is C -> 160 GB and D drive -> the rest of disk space.
Wanted to share this , in case if anyone else having or had a similar issue.

Greetings.
What size are the disks in question, and what type (i.e. SAS drives, NVME, etc)?
Also are they 512 sector or 4Kn format?
Is the storage profile referencing a specific controller type? Make sure you didn't try to define anything in 'controller Defs' which is just referencing the embedded/pch controller.
Also what version of UCS central are you using?
Thanks,
Kirk...

Greetings Kirk,
These are SAS disks with 4K block size.
No 'controller Defs' defined in the storage profile.
UCS central version is 2.0

Is your boot policy setup for UEFI?
Thanks,
Kirk...

Now i am seeing below two erros,
- There are not enough resources overall.
- Incomplete LUN configuration.
