replace a server port module/cable

i need to replace a server port cable from chassis to FI. This is affecting the second nic on a WM port group. I have active/active nic in place. can the cable be replaced with the esxi host and Vms running?

Most of the time, the chassis/IOM will have port-channel aggregating the uplinks to the FI, and individual cable loss won't have impact.  If you want to be super sure, would could adjust the ESXi vswitch teaming settings, and move the potentially impact VMNIC # to the unused status, prior to implementing the cable swap, and then revert back after completion.
