I have 2 brand new UCS C210 M1 servers. Both are running the follow:
BIOS - C200.1.2.2f.0 - updated from 1.2.1b
CIMC - 1.2(2d)
LOM - 1.4.3
Broadcom Nic - 5.0.6
ESXi - 4.0 U1
Intel driver - 1.3.19.12.1
Broadcom driver - 2.0.7c
Servers are connected to the network with the dedicated managment for CIMC access with no redundancy and 1 LOM for ESX Management network. After installation of ESXi and basic configuration the ESXi host I noticed the ESXi host management nic began to randomly lose network connectivity(VIC client dropped). I have tried changing speed/duplex settings as well as using the Broadcom add-on card same results. Firmware has been reflashed twice and I have completely removed power from the box after the firmware was updated.
I ran hrping and logged the timeframes for when the drops occur and there is not really any consistency. No issues for 3,10,12,20 minutes then drop for 2,5,10,12,22 mintues.
I have opened a TAC case but wanted to go ahead and post it up here.
