We need more information

- standalone or UCS integrated

-FC, iSCSI, NFS

- SAN ?

- what kind of storage subsystem

https://communities.vmware.com/thread/433107

Its standalone

is running a local datastore.

What is the raid controller you have installed?

Do you have the OS installed on the flexflash?

From the error message it looks like you server is not able to connect to your local storage and is running on memory.  I would recommend is to verify that your raid controller has the correct firmware installed and that you check the drivers on the OS.  If this is a new install, try installing the OS using the cisco custom esxi ISO for the installation.

the controller is an LSI MegaRaid controller. the OS is installed on the datastore. I used the custom cisco esxi iso that was available for download from vmware.
Do you think I should update it 5.5?
