Well then that comfirms I am not crazy and i ment 4404 we also use 5508 and i get them mixed up sometimes. sorry for the confusion and thanks for the info.
I do have the ipservices version of the IOS running (advipservice not available for switches) and I did enable the SDM routing template. The switch accepts the command but on "show run" the command is not displayed as being implemented.
