This building has 2 phone lines, 555-3334 and 555-3329. We were having some issues with 3334, so we told the phone company to catch any calls for 3334 and just route them to 3329.When you call 3334, you get this odd issue: call comes in with Caller...
I need to setup a call handler that is pretty specialized: it must answer the phone from 5PM to 8AM, but during the other hours, 3 phones must ring when someone calls the main number. The phone line comes in POTS on a 2801, and under the interface po...
We have an IPT network using CCM 4.1 with 7940s and 7912s.I need to add a wireless Linksys router to the network. I left a "knowledgeable" employee to do it himself last week, he plugged it into the PC port of his phone promptly driving the phones c...
I am wondering, when the connection to CCM goes and the phones go into SRST:Do I lose any calls in progress? (Let's say the call comes in on a POTS line in a 2801 and the 2801 is hooked into the 3560 configured as H323 that my phone is plugged into)...
I was doing too many things at the same time yesterday and either CCM crashed without warning, or I clicked Restart on a screen that was CCM and I thought was something else.Would be nice to determine which event it was! Is there anyway? Does CCM l...
You were right. Unplug 3334 from the 2801, no more phantom calls. Don't understand it, since the telco is supposed to capture any calls for that and fwd to the PRI, but whatever! It's working like it's supposed to now!Thank you!
Well you people are too fast! lol!I just did another test, and the 2nd call is generated whether or not we answer the first one.Would it be anything in Unity or CCM that would be doing this?? not sure were to look for dial-peers, only the telco is ...
Yup, got the phone company involved. But here's what makes me think it MIGHT be my build: you don't get the 2nd phantom call until you answer the first one. If you got 2 calls at the same time, I would put it to the phone company. The fact that the...
We don't use H323 on this 2801.I think we left one POTS on the 2801 for SRST functionality (which obviously wouldn't do us any good at this point, since we have the phone company disabling 3334 and forwarding all calls to the PRI at 3329).In CCM, 332...
I agree with what the others who are saying "Don't do this!" I just had a major network interruption due to this very scenario. User came off a 3560 into a 7940, from there into a LinkSys Wireless from that into his PC. Phones started flipping out...
