Hello folks, I have upgraded CUCM 4.1(3) to CUCM 6.0. But Cisco CallManager service is not running, though it is activated. I have not uploaded the phones and node licenses yet. Would Cisco CallManager service not run without license or it is a different issue? Can please someone point me to where I should look? Many thanks. Shoaib Usmani.

thanks for your reply. i'm not sure about the bug but i found the fix. The Publisher has to be disconnected from network and things will work fine. although the services like call manager will not start if lan is down but DMA looks for the database not services. thanks again for your reply.

hello, I am trying to upgrade CUCM from 4.1(3) to 6.0. When I install DMA 6.0(1)a to CUCM4.1(3), after installation I am not able to open CCMAdmin, DMAAdmin and any other pages. But when I uninstall the Informix Dynamic Server and DMA, the CCMAdmin and other CUCM web pages work fine. Is there something I need to do after installing DMA? Thanks in advance. Shoaib.

Hi all, I am running PIX 515e in a failover environment. The PIX has 128MB memory and currently it is using 113MB of the momory. Is that normal? How can I check where it is using this much memory? What is the maximum it can go without crashing? Thanks.

hello, I have two 515e in a failover pair. One has UR and the other FO licenses. The IOS version is 7.21. They are failing over every minute or so. When I connected the console, it showed a lot of information like what you get in 'sh tech' and then it rebooted. Same thing is happening with the other device too. I have upgraded them from version 6.3 to 7.21 last week Thursday. Can someone advise? Regards.

Hi, I am seeking someone's help before I install the devices. I have 4 x VIC2-2FXS card that I want to install on a Cisco1760 for fax. But there is no PSTN connection on this Cisco1760. It is connected to the LAN with the ethernet port. The main PSTN connection is on a Cisco2851 E1 Controller which is on the same LAN. My question, would the fax work if the PSTN is not directly on the Cisco1760? How would I point the FXS card to the Cisco2851 for the PSTN? Regards. Shoaib.

I issued 'show cdp ne' on a few routers and they are showing up their neighbour in their LANs, not on the WAN. For example, I am in London, if I telnet any router in Manchester and issue 'show cdp ne', it only shows the switch connected to that at the same site as a neighbour but it doesn't show the London or any other WAN site router as a neighbour. Is this the thing I need to look at? Cheers.
