It only saves the configuration if it detects that a change was made. The feeling is that you don't want to fill up disk with duplicate data.

I am also having the same problem on the same hardware and OS platform. In addition I have IDU 8 and 9 installed. I usually bounce the application to fix the problem, but this is getting old.

I also had this problem and installed RME 3.4 at Cisco's suggestion. I still have this problem. The TAC said it was a cosmetic problem and not to worry about it.
