We recently purchased a 48 port ws-c3750x to replace our older 3750 24 port. I loaded the config from the old to the new. Old is version 12.1....new is 12.2 For some reason the Vlans do not seem to be working on the new switch and I have no idea why....
Not sure if this is the right forum for this question but here is the situation. We lease bandwidth to supply internet service to a small community in the far north. This company is going to block all outgoing smtp traffic not destined for their mail...
But.......I do not understand why port 24 on the old switch is being shown as unassigned when in the configuration it is shown as being assigned to vlan20 interface GigabitEthernet1/0/24 switchport access vlan 20 no ip address no mdix auto
Ah! Ok.....I see what the problem was when I run those commands. There are a couple of ports that are not properly assigned.......namely ports 12 and 24........also not a very organized set up it seemsOLDore-1#sh vlan briVLAN Name ...
Good idea I'll do that......I was not given much notice. The change will take effect tomorrow midnight and I was informed of the pending change yesterday
