We recently purchased a 48 port ws-c3750x to replace our older 3750 24 port. I loaded the config from the old to the new. Old is version 12.1....new is 12.2 For some reason the Vlans do not seem to be working on the new switch and I have no idea why. I am not really an expert on these things so I am hoping someone can help me out. TIA

When you say the VLANs are not working do you mean hosts in the same VLAN cannon communicate or do you mean the IP address assigned to the VLAN interface cannot be reached?
Could you include the output of "show vlan breif" and "show ip interface breif" ?

Ah! Ok.....I see what the problem was when I run those commands. There are a couple of ports that are not properly assigned.......namely ports 12 and 24........also not a very organized set up it seems

But.......I do not understand why port 24 on the old switch is being shown as unassigned when in the configuration it is shown as being assigned to vlan20
interface GigabitEthernet1/0/24
switchport access vlan 20
no ip address
no mdix auto

unassigned means they don't have an IP address.
as you stated, it is assigned to vlan 20 and it is listed as such with the 'show vlan' command.
the show ip interface brief will list Layer3 information and it is a Layer2 switchport.
what exactly is the problem? are you having connectivity issues?
the configuration looks fine.

try setting the port to
"switchport"
"switchport mode access"
Hope this helps
