Only the wires 1,2,5,6,7 working. The rest, jumping on a tester.

Thanks Maren,I just found out it's only the wires 1,2,5,6,7 working. I think this supports what you're saying.

Yes Roger, that is it. But the real issue that I want to know is the old phone was working on that cable, while the new doesn't. So, I was assuming some of the UTP pairs are damaged, but still okay for the old phone. But Cisco documentation on cablin...
