Does anyone have a config for the ATA186 and Call Manager using MGCP? I've tried Cisco's website but to no avail. I'm about to give up and go back to H.323. Any reason why I should pick H.323 over MGCP?

Do you have an external USB sound device you can hook up? If so, try that and disable the internal sound card drivers (to see if it's the sound card that is locking it up).

Have you tried running a constant ping from the device to the ACS server? Is there something that is dropping packets along the path (ie from congestion or something)? What version of ACS are you running?
