Here, In the existing  setup they are having Pix 525 and the new firewall is ASA (Pix is the end of the sales now). Hi All, Wish you Happy New year ! I need help to find the strange issue for NAT translating. We have two 881 routers and two 3750G-24TS switches. There are 6 computers, each computer has dual nic card, each pc's nic has two lan cables to the switches for redundancy. There is one computer connected to 881 fa4 which is the routed port. Due to special requirements, there's a need to do NAT from inside to outside, in order to reach computer connected to fa4 of 881. Also computer connected to fa4 of 881 will send a data to unicast destination address 192.168.3.64, this unicast destination address will be translated into multicast 239.255.255.10. Its normally working fine, But if I restart the 6 computers then I have encountered a strange problem when NAT failed to translate, I will need to reboot the 881 router every time there's no communication between 6 hosts from 3750 switch and host from 881 router. Before 881 router reboots, there's no translation despite the host from 881 and hosts from 3750 switches were sending data to each other. After 881 router reboots, translation was seen, and host from 881 router and hosts from 3750 switches could communicate. 881 is using c880data-universalk9-mz.150-1M4.bin, version 15.0(1)M4. This is the sequence of powering up when the problem occurs (NAT has no translation) 1. Turn on switches first. 2. Then turn on routers. 3. After routers and switches have finished initialization, turn on the 6 computers connected to the switches. 4. Normally after 6 computers are rebooted (fully powered up and initialized), all communication is normal i.e. there's NAT translation. 5. In the event when 6 computers are rebooted, there's no communication from hosts of 3750 to host of 881 nor hosts of 881 can communicate to hosts of switches. 6. User needs to reboot router in order for communication between host of 881 and hosts of 3750 possible. Please find the Attachment of the Router configuration and output of the fastethernet 4. Two routers are configured back to back frame-relay connection for the purpose of getting communication between two PC’s through serial communication(Not IP based).
