I am running a TcL script on a Nexus 7k and would like to suppress the output from cli commands. The TcL book says it can be done by enteringt "log_user 0", which works on a ASR router but not the Nexus switch.Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The BERT error indications of bit errors and pattern slips lead me to think that you are losing packets in the path. Have you checked each of the ports involved for input/output errors or dropped packets? It could be as simple as a duplex mismatch.
