I'm curious if anyone else has Apple Mac Pro, iMac, or MacBook Pro workstations running Final Cut Pro AND has Cisco 7900 series phones inline with the workstations. We're having some trouble proving "it's not the network" to our editing group. Edit...
I have a PIX506E (version 6.3(5)) that interfaces with our main network. The main network contains our call manager (version 7). Behind the PIX506E I have two networks. One network is for the IP Phones and the other network is for the workstations...
I've got a problem I can't quite pin down.I have two 6500s running VRRP on 12.2(33)SXH3. One particular svi on Core2, interface vlan20, is having some trouble.Core 1:interface Vlan20 description Server VLAN ip address 10.100.20.2 255.255.255.0 ip fl...
I'm wondering about the pros & cons of not using a default-gateway on a Catalyst switch (3750E) being used as an IDF. Switch has an IP, but just for remote management. All L3 interfaces are on the core switch pair (using vrrp .1)My peer engineer sa...
Can anyone explain to me why, when you create an SVI (interface vlan10) on a Catalyst switch, the vlan interface doesn't actually come up/up until a port goes live on that switch? This is more of a curiosity than a problem.thanks!
I believe it may be the problem. Try being less specific with your networks under RIP.Your networks should be named as 192.168.0.0 and 10.0.0.0 regardless of your interface IP/mas configuration.Ven
QoS is good, phones that support 1Gig are in place. The switches are 3750E (1Gig) and the apace server is 10Gig connected. We have separate data & voice vlans.I was mainly trying to see if anyone else has a similar configuration.thanks!Ven
I only glanced at this, but something else to consider... Are you using short haul or long haul GBICs? If theend-node GBICs aren't the same, the link will not come up.Ven
