Even though there are reports in Control Hub for messaging user activity and meeting user activity, I like better to take these data from Analytics/Engagement tab which included cool graph dashboard.

Chat history might remain as long as your free space limit is not reached (for messages this is a lot!)... I have free trails accounts and chats are there way long..
