how do I authenticate 3-10 remote users using VPN connections?

Hi Can ACS Engine SOlution ver 3.2 have its own internal database for AAA, or it has to be connected to the external DB. / What is the advantage of having ACS 3.2 engine solution, instad of using software version? thank you very much
