@mipopo: I have two two port port-channels, each across the stack, in mode "on" running for over 30 days without any problems. Before using LACP I had the above problems. Optical modules weren't changed.

the switch stack was available via oobm interface. it was not possible to revive the portchannels. no information could be obtained via cdp and lldp from the nighbours, including the ones connected via static port-channel. after a reboot of the sg550...
