Is it possible some internet nodes do no support the hop-by-hop option header of ICMPv6 packets?
it seems hop-by-hop option headers are read by all nodes on the path.

sorry my question is stupid.The default-router is defined in the dhcp pool (a pool for each network) on the dhcp server so the relay agent knows the default gateway

Does this mean (because there is a vlan.dat in the vtp client flash memory) that a vtp client running vtp 2 that reboots if the vtp server is down still has it's vlan's knowledge?
