ip helper address default gateway

in case you use "ip helper-address" on a relay agent router the dhcp server contains a default gateway but this default gateway is not the correct default gateway that the relay agent router with the command "ip helper-address" has to forward to it's client.

Does the realy agent forward the correct default gateway to it's client beside the fact this default gateway is not defined on the relay agent?

sorry my question is stupid. The default-router is defined in the dhcp pool (a pool for each network) on the dhcp server so the relay agent knows the default gateway

the relay agents default gateway does not have to be the same as the default gateway assigned to the dhcp pool. they can have different values
