OK, good so you have the right hardware.In the past, I needed to add the license I got when I bought the layer 3 card to get anything layer 3 working on the 5k.
If your FPGA supports sfp+ you would need to make sure you are using a supported sfp+ model/manufacturer for your hardware.
Your network device needs to support 10Gbase-T as well.
What model switch are you connecting to?
