connect SFP+ module to FPGA board

Hello everybody,

I want get 1 to 10G Ethernet data from the network to my FPGA for processing.

My FPGA transceivers support both 1GBASE-T and 10GBASE-T ethernet standards

The network should connect to my FPGA via electrical twisted copper cable. (RJ45)

I am using therefore the SFP+ GLC-T.

1) How can I configure the SFP+ module to work?

2) how can I tell the SFP+ that now I am switching from 1Gbps to 10Gbps data rate and vice versa.

Thank you :)

If your FPGA supports sfp+ you would need to make sure you are using a supported sfp+ model/manufacturer for your hardware.

Your network device needs to support 10Gbase-T as well.

What model switch are you connecting to?
